Excited to share that I am going to be exploring what to do next for the coming decade.
Along the way in my brief journey in the Indian VC ecosystem, I had the chance to work with the Venture Highway team.
I'm immensely grateful to Neeraj for providing me with this platform to discover my place in the ecosystem. He has supported and championed so many young, unproven people like me. I was lucky he found me after a blog I think I had written in 2020.
It settled the debate in my family that writing can take you places
Priya is the glue that holds the VH team together and drives the firm. I evolved as a person working with her. She has been a leader when the firm needed it most.
Rahul's wisdom and energy over the past year have taught me immensely. The fact that we went to the same college only helped shared stories. Aakanksha and I joined VH simultaneously and developed a deep friendship as we grew with the firm. We've spent the longest time going through the ups and downs of investing and life together.
Akul, Parth and Abishek are incredibly talented and are miles ahead of where I was when I was (slightly ;) ) younger. I am eager to see what they do over the next few years. Ajoy, Nidhi and Nipun are the rocks that helped us do our best. I haven't seen anyone calmer than Ajoy, energetic than Nidhi and resourceful than Nipun. Finally, Smitha is the kindest person I have worked with, loved by everyone.
I could write an essay on the team, but posts, unfortunately, have word limits. I will miss the team and the journey ahead.
I am going to be closer to family now. I will spend the next few weeks figuring out how I can contribute deeply to India's ecosystem. I am grateful to have connected with such a warm community of all of you on LinkedIn. I will need your support as I figure out what to do next.
It's exhilarating and scary to take the leap, but it feels like it is the right time.
